MSBO/MAPT School Bus Purchase Program Opens 10/1/2012 9/16/2012 If your district will be ordering buses for the next year, there are advantages to using the MSBO/MAPT Bus Purchase Program:

 

  • It saves time – We create the RFP then process and organize the bids. All you have to do is have your board pass a resolution to participate.
  • It enhances quality – Our panel of expert transportation directors have already built a “base spec” bus, which is the model for our bid. You may use the base specifications in part or total (you have total flexibility) but the specs are available for comparison and informational purposes. In addition, you can contact an MSBO/MAPT peer consultant for assistance in designing your bus.
  • It makes comparison shopping simple – You can electronically compare the price of the bus you design across all participating dealers with a few clicks of a mouse.
  • It lowers prices and keeps the market competitive – Dealers participate in this program because they sell 300+ buses a year through it. You get a quality bus at a competitive price.
There are two purchase sessions availabe for 2012-2013
Session one Opens on October 1, 2012 at 9:00am; closes on January 31, 2013 at 5:00pm
Session two Opens on April 1, 2013 at 9:00am; closes on July 31, 2013 at 5:00pm
